Chicken with green beans and ginger in sauce

Asparagus beans (green beans) - 400 g,

chicken fillet or mushrooms mushrooms - 200 g,

fresh ginger (root) - about 3 cm,

garlic - 4 cloves,

vinegar (apple, wine or rice) - 1 tbsp. spoon,

ketchup (or tomato paste) - 1 tbsp spoon,

sugar - 1 tbsp. spoon,

starch (any) - 1 tsp + for rolling chicken,

soy sauce - 2 tbsp. spoons,

orange (juice) - 2 tbsp. spoons,

vegetable oil - for frying.

Cooking method

Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces for frying. Dip the chicken pieces in any starch or flour. There is no need to salt the chicken - the role of salt will be played by soy sauce in the sauce.

Finely chop or grate a small piece of ginger.

Peel and chop the garlic cloves in any way.

In a bowl, mix 1 tbsp. l. vinegar, 1 tbsp. l. ketchup or tomato paste and 1 tbsp. l. Sahara. Add 1 tsp to them. without a slide of any starch or flour and 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce. Pour in 2 tbsp. l. freshly squeezed orange juice. Stir the sauce thoroughly.

In a frying pan in vegetable oil, fry the chicken pieces until golden brown, so that they do not come into contact with each other. If there is a lot of meat, then fry it in several passes. Remove the fried chicken on a plate.

Put the garlic and ginger in the same pan, fry for 30 seconds and add the green beans. Frozen beans do not need to be defrosted beforehand. Fry until the beans are soft and crispy and the ginger and garlic begin to turn golden.

Return chicken to skillet.

Add sauce. Heat the chicken with beans, garlic and ginger, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.

Note

This recipe is also interesting in that the proportions of beans and meat can be changed depending on what you want to get in the end: meat with beans or beans with meat.

Chicken with green beans can be served with any cereal or pasta. If there was more beans than meat, then the dish can be served without a side dish.

If you replace meat with mushrooms, you get a lean version of the dish. In this cooking option, chop the mushrooms coarsely, roll in starch. Fry the mushrooms until a crust appears.

Then cook according to the above scheme, as with meat.

If you made a mistake and put much more starch in the sauce than you need to correct the situation, add orange juice to the pan until all the starch has dispersed. You will get a lot of sauce, it will look like orange jelly, but the dish will turn out to be very tasty, although completely different!
