The original shape and the most varied colors
Cactus dahlias are the most spectacular of all dahlias. Their inflorescences are very attractive and bright. Another important advantage of this form of dahlia is that their flowers do not tilt to the ground in rainy weather. During rain, flower buds do not accumulate much moisture, and they bend less under the weight of water in heavy rain.
A characteristic feature of cactus dahlia flowers is the structure of the marginal flowers in the inflorescence - they are twisted into tubes at least two-thirds of their length. The "petals" of cactus dahlias can be straight or curved up or down. Usually they are narrow and have pointed tips, but some cactus dahlias have deeply dissected petal tips, they are even called "spider dahlias".
Growing tips
Low-growing varieties are planted in pots, which decorate balconies and verandas. Tall plants are planted in the garden, in the borders among perennial plants. Before planting, compost is added to the soil. Do not forget that in order to obtain abundant flowering, dahlias must be planted in a sunny place! If you regularly cut off the faded inflorescences, then new buds and flowers will form on the plant.

The height of the plants ranges from 30 cm to 150 cm, and the size of the flowers is from 10 to 30 cm in diameter.
