Corn bread

Baking type Ingredients

Corn (corn flour) - 350 g,

wheat or rye flour - 100 g,

chicken eggs - 2 pcs.,

butter - 50 g,

milk - 200 ml,

baking powder - 1 tbsp spoon,

soda - 1 teaspoon,

salt - 1 teaspoon.

Cooking method

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

A low baking dish (20 x 30 cm), grease and line with parchment or special baking paper.

In a bowl, combine 2/3 of the corn flour and all of the wheat (or rye) flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix thoroughly, add eggs and mix again until smooth.

Add remaining cornmeal, butter and milk.

Stir again until smooth, pour into a mold and bake for about 30 minutes until tender.

Note

Corn bread is much less nutritious than regular wheat bread, so it can be an excellent solution for those on a diet, but can hardly give up baking.
