Choosing celery varieties

Celery comes in three varieties: root, petiole and leaf. Root celery is more popular among Russians, which forms a fleshy round or spindle-shaped root crop of grayish-white color with white or creamy white porous flesh. And in European countries they prefer stalked and leaf celery. When choosing a variety, you need to decide what exactly you want to get - leaves, petioles or root crops. And the choice of varieties of celery in stores is now the richest, we will dwell in more detail on only some varieties.
  • Albin - mid-season high-yield variety of root celery. Root crops are round, up to 12 cm in diameter, with a small number of lateral roots, white, with a greenish skin in the upper part and white flesh.
