Coriander greens and seeds have a complex chemical composition. They are rich in essential oils of complex composition, pectin, fragrances, etc. During the aging process, the seeds change their color, and the content of essential oil in them decreases.

Coriander leaves and seeds are distinguished by a high content of essential oil with a complex chemical composition (from 0.5 to 1.2%), the main component of which is "linalool". Aromatic substances with the smell of rose, lily, lily of the valley, violet, lemon, etc. are made from its oil. This oil is a powerful bactericidal and antihelminthic agent.

Coriander surpasses many spicy plants in rutin, carotene and other vitamins, and even lemon in vitamin C content.

For the treatment of prostatitis, a collection consisting of equal proportions of coriander fruits, plantain seeds, onions, parsley and carrots is used. To prepare the infusion, you need 1 tbsp. pour a spoonful of the mixture crushed into powder with 1 glass of boiling water, heat in a water bath for 30 minutes, insist in a warm place for 15 minutes. Take 0.5 glasses on an empty stomach 30 minutes before meals, drink 1 glass at night in bed, already warmed with a heating pad.

With inflammation of the pancreas with normal and increased secretion, use a collection consisting of 1 tsp coriander fruit, 4 tsp motherwort herb, 3 tsp birch leaves and 1 tsp celandine herb. To prepare the infusion, you need 1 tbsp. pour a spoonful of collection with 1 glass of boiling water, boil for 30 minutes. Take 0.25 glasses 3 times daily before meals. The course of treatment is two weeks.

Despite all the useful properties of coriander, it is undesirable to abuse it, it can lead to sleep disturbances, various nervous disorders, especially the seeds of the plant.
