Simple vegetable decorations

Carrot decorations

To create jewelry, you can take both raw and boiled carrots. It is not difficult to cut various stars and geometric shapes from boiled carrots. But raw carrots are useful for more complex decorations: vases and tulips.

Carrot stars you can cut it like this: cut strips of the desired depth along the semi-soft carrots, and then just slice the carrots across.

For creating carrot tulip with a small sharp knife, carefully cut out a thin strip in a spiral, from which we then fold the flower itself, the size of which will depend on the size of the carrot we take.

For creating carrot flowerpot cut the carrot into pieces of the desired length (from 2 to 5 cm), make a depression in the middle of each piece, into which you can insert onions or herbs.

Turnip onion jewelry

Turnip onions are suitable for making baskets and flowers "water lilies" or "lilies".

In order to get lily it is necessary to cut the onion to the center in zigzags along the circumference, and then carefully separate the halves. Having disassembled the bulb into separate scales, we will see "water lily flowers". By inserting one scale into another, we get a lily. The heart circle of a flower can be made from pieces of another brightly colored vegetable or fruit, such as a carrot.

In order to do basket it is necessary to cut the onion to the center in zigzags along the circumference, and then separate the onion into two parts and cut off the bottoms. Disassemble the halves of the onion into baskets. Each basket can be filled with green peas or grated vegetables.

Onion decorations are especially appropriate for salads and fish dishes.

Tomato decorations

Round tomatoes can be easily made into flower decorations. Cut the peeled tomato in half, cut each half into thin slices, without cutting to the middle. Parting the slices, we get tomato flower.

Green onion decoration

We cut a pre-flattened green onion feather on one side, and then cut it lengthwise and unfold - it will turn out palm twig.

Beetroot decorations

When working with beets, it must be borne in mind that lettuce leaves should be placed under the beetroot decorations so that the beet juice does not spread, changing the taste of the decorated dish and the color scheme of the entire decoration.

Boiled beets are easily cut into different cubes, circles and stars... And if you want to create beetroot rose, cut the beets in half, and put each half, cut down on a cutting board, into thin slices. Placing the plates vertically, we get a rose.
