After a long winter, the bright holiday of Christ's Sunday is always associated with the long-awaited flowering of primroses. They are used most of all in Easter compositions - snowdrops, crocuses and lilies of the valley, tulips of delicate colors, muscari of all shades of blue, fragrant hyacinths and freesias, white and yellow daffodils, anemones, ranunculus, poultry, hazel grouses, hellebores, flexible calla lilies and exotic neri.
Traditionally for this holiday, the inclusion of eggs and shells in the composition, and the whole composition, florists often build in the shape of an egg. It is highly desirable to evoke associations with Palm Sunday willow twigs, showing their fluffy inflorescences, and rough structural woody elements. Sometimes they are used only to support the thin stems of plants, and sometimes on their own, adding only a color accent. For this, not only shoots of woody plants are suitable, but also gray-haired bunches of last year's wormwood.
Another popular motif is the nest, a greeting for migratory birds returning home, and a thank you for a chicken giving us an Easter egg. It can be built from flexible twigs, hay, pieces of bark, lichen, dry foliage, but can be replaced with a suitable tropical material. An appropriate addition is a light feather and everything fluffy that resembles it, or, for example, funny bird legs.
The colors are sometimes limited to church canons, making the main color white. But we saw white snow all winter, so the first hints of bright colors, especially “chicken” yellow, are so pleasing to the eye in spring. Therefore, it is worth arranging the holiday the way you want.
A satin ribbon or a rough jute cord can completely change the mood of the composition, in the first case, emphasizing the solemnity of the holiday, and in the second - the naturalness and natural beauty of primroses. You should not strive for excessive splendor - let it be in church decoration on holy days, and the modest charm of spring flowers reigns in the house.
